Park House, 69, 71 Park Road, Brechin

Park House, located at 69 and 71 Park Road in Brechin, is a mid-Victorian freestyle mansion built around 1868. This tall building features two storeys and an attic, constructed from snecked rubble with stugged ashlar dressings.

The west entrance front showcases a central gabled entrance bay, which includes an arched Doric pilastered doorpiece and an attic window. This entrance bay projects forward from a one-window left-hand bay that has a gabled dormer, and a right-hand two-window gable of the south range. The south range consists of two windows with dormerhead gablets, while the right-hand gable front of the east range features a shallow rectangular ground floor bay. This bay has foliated cherub's head capitals on the left, a modern tripartite window of similar proportions in the center, and a single-storey canted bay on the right, also adorned with sculptured capitals and a brattished platformed roof. The first floor has single light windows with stop chamfers, and there is an arched attic light at the right-hand gable. The east elevation has three windows.

Additionally, there are single-storey offices with two bays and dormerheads, topped with a piended roof. The building features straight coped skews, some of which are stepped halfway up, along with skewputts and finials, all under slated roofs.
