Viewbank, 42 Park Road, Brechin

Viewbank, located at 42 Park Road in Brechin, is a building dated 1st January 1826. It is a two-storey structure with an attic, constructed from rubble and featuring raised margins around its openings and at the corners. There is a string course at the level of the first-floor cill. The front facade has three windows, with a central tripartite doorpiece that includes a panelled door and a fanlight, flanked by dummy sidelights, steps, and railings. The central first-floor window is also tripartite. The front elevation has a blocking course that is raised at the center.

The building has three dormers, with the outer pair being bipartite and the central one triangular, along with two window gables. The roof is piended and slated, with cut-down end stacks. On the rear elevation, there is a tall stair window in a piended rear projection, which is flanked by a lean-to on the left and a piended back wing on the right. The building retains its original glazing. Additionally, there is an octagonal timber and glass summerhouse with a fish scale slated roof.
