Description
Beekie Cottage is a late 18th century polygonal toll-house, featuring a rectangular plan with chamfered northeast and southeast angles. It was renovated around 1985, which included the addition of a wing and various alterations. The cottage is situated on sloping ground and is harled with painted ashlar dressings. The entrance is centrally located on the east side, and there are four round-arched windows, with one each on the northeast, southeast, north, and south elevations. A modern harled addition is present at the rear, although it has regrettable modern glazing. The roof is steeply pitched and polygonal with skylights, and there is a central polygonal ashlar stack that is shouldered and corniced.
