Description

Late 18th century polygonal toll-house (rectangular-plan with NE and SE angles chamfered), renovated circa 1985 with additional wing-row and alterations. Sited on falling ground. Harled with painted ashlar dressings. Entrance at centre to E, 4 round-arched windows; 1 to NE, SE, N and S elevations. Harled modern addition at rear. Regrettable modern glazing. Piended, polygonal steeply-pitched roof with skylights. Central, shouldered and corniced, polygonal ashlar stack.
