This is a public fountain dating from between 1900 and 1919. It stands at 177 Armagh Road, Mullaghglass, Bessbrook, County Armagh, and serves as a local reminder of a time when drinking water was drawn from public sources. The fountain is a standard design manufactured by Glenfield and Kennedy, featuring a plain fluted column topped with a fluted cap and an acorn finial. It was installed to replace an earlier cow-tailed pump at the same road junction. The fountain is not depicted on Ordnance Survey maps from 1906 or 1956, suggesting its use occurred between those years.
