Craigarusky Bridge, Ballymartin Road, Craigarusky/Ballymartin, Killinchy, Co Down, BT23 6QR

This is a hump-backed road bridge located on the Ballymartin Road, approximately 1.5 miles north of Killinchy in County Down. The bridge likely dates to before 1834, with a construction period suggested between 1820 and 1839. It crosses the River Blackwater.

The bridge is built from basalt rubble and originally featured three segmental arches, now springing from modern concrete foundations. Tie rods have been added to the structure, and a water pipe runs across the arches on the eastern side. The parapets have rounded coping. The western side of the bridge is heavily overgrown with greenery.

Old Ordnance Survey maps from 1834 and 1858-60 show a bridge at this location, suggesting the current bridge largely represents its original form. The concrete repairs to the foundations and the introduction of tie rods occurred after 1972. The bridge holds interest as an example of industrial archaeology. It was previously listed, but delisted on November 9, 1998.
