Description

This is a pair of early to mid-19th century cottages located on Mount Street. Number 4 is slightly higher in elevation than Number 3. They are built of brown brick, with Number 3 having a colourwashed finish. Number 4 has a pantile roof. Each cottage has three windows, with one window blocked in the centre of Number 4. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Each cottage has a round-headed doorway, and Number 4 features a four-panel door. The cottages are listed for their group value, contributing to the character of Mount Street alongside the Unitarian Chapel, The Lawn, Mary Street House, buildings in Vivary Park, Wilton House, and properties on Upper High Street.
