Description

This is a former schoolroom, now used as a meeting hall, located in the churchyard to the south of the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Ditcheat village. It was built in 1851, as indicated by a freestone panel. The building is constructed of coursed lias stone with freestone dressings, and has a slate roof with coped verges, and a small brick stack resting on a projecting stone base. It is designed in the Tudor style. The single-story building has three bays, featuring two three-light stone mullioned windows, each light with a four-centred arch head and leaded lights. A central door opening is within a shallow projecting porch, with a depressed-arch head and ribbed door. A transomed three-light mullioned window is on the left return side.
