Description
The Manor House Inn is an inn dating from the late 18th century, with a mid-19th century addition. It features English garden wall bond brickwork, a lias plinth, and plain tiled roofs, with the right side having a hipped roof and a parapet with freestone coping. The earlier part of the building is designed in a Gothick style, while the addition is in a Tudor style. The inn is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with three bays on each side. On the right, there are casement windows with pointed-arch heads and square-paned leaded lights. On the left, there are two and three-light stone-mullioned windows with labels, each containing a casement in every light. There are two door openings: one on the right with a pointed-arch head and a studded door framed by a wooden architrave, and another on the left with a studded door set in a freestone architrave, topped by a stone slab hood supported by cut-stone brackets. The right return features two similar casements, one with leaded lights, and a shallow full-height canted bay. A wrought-iron bracket is located at the center of the frontage, holding a plain painted signboard.
