Description

First World War memorial.

MATERIAL: Cornish granite.

DESCRIPTION: a wheel cross on a tall shaft with an octagonal plinth and square base. The cross is decorated with Celtic-knotwork carvings. On the front of the shaft (south face) is the following dedication: 'TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY. OF/ THOSE OF THIS PARISH/ WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918'. The names of the fallen servicemen can be found on the faces of the plinth.
