Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1675, with a mid-19th century restoration. It is constructed of random rubble with a double Roman tile roof, coped verges, and a ball finial to the road-facing side. The stacks are of rubble, topped with brick. The building is arranged in a "T" shape, with the main facade set at right angles to the road. It is two storeys and an attic, with a 1:2 bay arrangement. On the ground floor, there are three two-light stone-mullioned windows; the window to the left is ovolo-moulded, while the others are chamfered. The first floor has two similar three-light openings, and a single-light window in a matching surround to the left, all with stopped labels. A chamfered stone surround frames the doorway, which has a four-panel door with the top two panels glazed, beneath a moulded stone hood supported by cut stone brackets. A semi-circular stone plaque, bearing raised stone lettering reading "1675", is set into the low gable. The return to the road shows a 1:2 bay arrangement in a matching style. Inside, there is a stone winder staircase.
