Description
Church Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 16th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of random rubble and features coped verges along with a triple Roman tile roof. The building has three end rubble stacks and is designed in an "L" shape, although its frontages have changed significantly over time. The elevation facing the Church of St Mary Magdalene is two stories high and consists of four bays. Most of the windows are casements, except for an early 19th-century 8-pane sash window located on the first floor of the left bay, and a two-light stone-mullioned window beneath it on the ground floor. There is a door opening at the rear that is framed by a bead-moulded stone surround, leading to a 20th-century half-glazed door. Additionally, there are more two-light stone-mullioned windows at the rear of the cottage.
