Description

The entrance gates to the Infant School date from 1828 and are located on the south side of Mary Street. The gates have been moved back from the road and are flanked by ashlar piers that feature panel treatment. Above the gates, there is a lintel inscribed with the words "Original Infant School 1828." The double wooden gates have trellis work on the upper panels. These gates, along with Nos 18 to 20, form a group.
