Description

No 20 Mary Street is a two-storey square house made of red brick, located in a garden behind No 19. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and features a hipped roof covered with old tiles. The front has three windows, although the glazing bars are missing. There are window-box rails on the first floor. The entrance is highlighted by an Ionic porch with two flights of steps leading up to a doorway that has a traceried fanlight and double three-panel doors. The entrance gates to the Infant School and Nos 18 to 20, which are consecutive, form a group with this building.
