Description
Queen Anne Cottage is an early 18th century, two-storey building with a colourwashed stucco front. It features a moulded cornice and a parapet, topped with an old tile roof. The front is flanked by plain pilasters and has two windows with wooden shutters and sash frames, which include glazing bars. The central doorway is round-headed and surrounded by a reeded architrave. To the left, there is a one-storey lean-to extension with a now-blocked elliptical arch. To the right, a three-storey brick extension has a high parapet and a band over the ground floor, with one sash window and three round-headed recesses. The entrance gates to the nearby infant school and the adjacent properties at numbers 18 to 20 form a group with this building.
