Description

The United Reformed Church, originally the Congregational Church, was founded in 1662 by Joseph Alleine, with the current buildings constructed in 1797. This two-storey structure is made of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It has a fluted cornice and a blocking course, along with a band above the ground floor. There are one-storey extensions on either side of the front, each with entrances. The church has five windows with fixed lights, and the extensions are adorned with cornices, parapets, and keystones.
