Description

Middle Farmhouse is a 19th-century farmhouse built from local lias stone that has been cut and squared. It features a shallow-pitched Welsh slate roof with slates laid open, creating gaps at the sides, and has plain gables with brick chimney stacks at both ends. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The first floor is fitted with two-light small-pane casement windows that have timber lintels, while the ground floor has deeper stone lintels above the windows. The central entrance is a boarded door set in a heavy frame, which is sheltered by a timber and slate open porch. There are lean-to extensions on both gables. The interior has not been seen. The front garden, approximately 2 metres deep, is enclosed by railings on a low stone base, featuring looped tops and an elaborate gate with curved upper and middle rails, enhancing the overall setting of the house.
