Description
Cottage Farmhouse is a farmhouse with attached outbuildings, dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of local lias stone and features a Welsh slate roof with a shallow pitch, set between stepped coped gables, and has brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high, with the south elevation positioned at right angles to the road. This elevation consists of three bays, with the first two bays forming a gabled projection. The upper section has horizontal bar casement windows in plain openings with flat voussoired heads, while the lower section features horizontal sliding sash windows with very small panes and Y-tracery above the heads. There is a door located in a covered porch at the lower bay three. The west side of the building has matching windows. The interior has not been seen. The farm buildings extending northwards and eastwards from the house have altered roofs and are not of special interest.
