Description
Church Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with modifications from the 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is cut and squared, with a roof made of Welsh slate and double Roman clay tiles between coped gables. The building has a T-plan and is two storeys high, featuring a three-bay south elevation and a significant extension to the west.
The south elevation has 4-pane sash windows above in plain openings, and below are 9-pane sashes set in segmental-arched openings with voussoirs. The central entrance features a 6-panel door with glazed top lights, situated in a wood lattice porch that has a slate roof. The westward extension includes two 12-pane sash windows and a boarded door to the left. There is also a lean-to structure against the east gable.
At the rear, the extension has a plain clay tile roof that undulates, with a boarded door located in the corner leading to a timber and slate-covered verandah. Below this is a 24-pane sash window set in a segmental-arched recess, and above it is another 24-pane sash window of different proportions. The interior has not been seen.
