Description
Park Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th century, with later modifications. It is constructed of lias stone, squared and cut, with a triple-rolled clay tiled roof, featuring plain gables, and brick end chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has three bays. It contains ovolo-moulded timber framed windows, all three-light, although the lower windows are 20th-century replacements, and all have eroded lias stone labels. A boarded door is set within a heavy ovolo-moulded frame between bays 1 and 2. A late 18th-century lean-to, likely a dairy, adjoins the south gable, with a clay pantiled roof, a brick chimney stack, and a three-light, partially leaded casement window. The interior remains unrecorded.
