Description

Greystones is a detached house, likely dating from the 17th century, with modifications made in the 20th century. The house is constructed of local lias stone, cut and squared, with a plain clay tiled roof between stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has an irregular fenestration pattern across five bays. The windows are 20th-century casements, each with a moulded timber lintol, featuring a three-light design below and a two-light design above. A part-glazed door is set within a plain opening in bay 2. Bays 1 and 2 appear to be later additions. A projecting chimney stack is visible on the north gable, incorporating a stone base and a tapered brick top. The interior of the house was not inspected.
