Description
Sutton Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from around 1830. It is constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, and it features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and stone chimney stacks at the ends and in the middle. The building has a T-shaped plan, is two storeys high, and consists of five bays. The windows are small pane casements set in plain openings with dovetailed stone lintels. In the third bay, there is a six-flush panelled door with glazed toplights, located in a panelled recess beneath a margined rectangular fanlight. Although the interior has not been seen, there is an attached small square outbuilding at the southwest corner, which has a pyramidal thatched roof. At the rear, there is an outshut and a projecting two-storey wing of farm buildings that has a triple roll clay tile roof.
