Description
12 and 13 Chapel Hill are a pair of cottages built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with Welsh slate roofs featuring plain bargeboarded gables. A central cluster of four brick chimney stacks is set diagonally on a square stone base. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of four bays, with the middle bays featuring gabled projections.
The windows are timber casements with honeycomb lattice glazing in plain openings. The lower three-light windows have voussoired flat arches, while the two-light windows above have stone lintels. The outer bays contain doors set in segmental arched openings; No 12 has an early 20th-century part-glazed door, while No 13 retains its original door and has no windows above. Additionally, No 12 has a wing wall to the west, which includes an old pattern boarded gate with wrought iron hinges. The interiors have not been seen.
