Description
Middle Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that has been modified in the 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone, which is cut and squared, while the front elevation is rendered and colorwashed. The roof is made of Welsh slate, with a coped south gable and an overhang on the north gable, where the south section is set lower. The building features brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has five bays. It includes 12-pane sash windows in plain openings, with paired windows in the lower bays 1, 3, and 4, and also in upper bay 4. There is no window in lower bay 5. A six-panel door, four of which are glazed, is located in bay 2 and is set within a timber and tiled porch. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to against the north gable. The interior has not been seen.
