Description
This is a milepost from the 18th century located on the roadside at the coordinates NGR ST 6652 5244. It features a rough-hewn stone pier topped with a hipped design. A cast metal plate with incised lettering is mounted on the pier, indicating the distance to Bath: "The Bath Roads to the Guildhall Bath 10M. 4 Fur". The walls on either side of the pier are not considered of special interest. The milepost has been resited and is part of the Bath Turnpike Trust.
