Description
This is a milepost located on the roadside at Stratton-on-the-Fosse, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a V-shaped design with a canted top. The milepost features raised lettering that indicates the distances to Wells (9 miles) and Bath (11 miles). It is part of the Wells Turnpike Trust.
