Description

Clare Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the north side of Watery Lane in the civil parish of Stratton-on-the-Fosse. It is incorrectly labelled as "Fair View House" on Ordnance Survey maps. The cottage is constructed of coursed and squared rubble, with a pantile roof and coped verges. It features a single rendered and single brick stack. The two-storey, three-bay facade contains two-light stone mullioned windows with cornice drips on the ground floor. A stone doorcase with a triangular pediment is situated in the door opening to the left return.
