Description
Redfield Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building located on the east side of Steam Mills in Midsomer Norton. It stands two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. The roof is made of pantiles, featuring coped verges and end chimneys. The main part of the farmhouse has three windows, with the outer windows being three-light casements that have square mullions and edge-roll detailing. The centre window on the first floor is round-headed and includes a key. There is a chamfered door surround beneath a bracketed flat hood, leading to a six-panel door. To the left, there is a single-storey extension, and to the right, a two-storey extension from the mid-19th century with two windows.
