Description
No 128 High Street is a former vicarage, now divided into a flat and a house, dating from around 1800 and built on the site of an older structure. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a slate roof.
It is two storeys high and has a 'T'-plan, with the right-hand bay slightly set back. The front elevation includes three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and a large three-light oriel bay window on the right (west). The ground floor windows are all plate glass sashes. To the left (east), near the 'T'-plan extension, there is a door with six raised and fielded panels. The return elevation of the 'T'-block has three glazing bar sash windows.
Inside, the hall features early 19th-century details, including a panelled dado and a wide arch supported by segmental pilasters, with a decorated panelled soffit. The staircase is adorned with cast iron balusters.
