The building is two storeys high and has a rendered exterior with a slate roof featuring coped gables and end chimneys. There is a large two-storey 'L'-shaped 20th century wing on the front left side, which houses the Post Office.
On the first floor, there is a two-light mullion window above the doorcase and a three-light mullion window to the right. The ground floor has a modern shop front. The central door is topped by a bracketed 19th century hood and features two arched lights. Additionally, there is a gable light on the south-east return set in a moulded reveal. The rear range has a double saddle roof with a saddlestone at the verge.
