Description

These are two late 18th-century buildings on the north side of High Street, Midsomer Norton. The walls are roughcast, with an old tile mansard roof, which ramps up on the left and has a coped verge. There are two chimneys, one brick and one ashlar. The building has two flat-headed dormers and two storeys plus an attic. The first floor has two glazing bar sash windows in plain architraves. On the ground floor, there are bay windows on each side of a central glazed door. The left-hand bay has small, multi-paned windows with glazing bars, while the right-hand bay features curved plate glass within wooden frames with fluted sides, a plain fascia, and a moulded cornice. Further to the right is a modern double shop window. A square-headed doorway leads to a panelled door. The building has narrow end pilasters. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top, and there are railings in front.
