Description
Church Farmhouse is a late 17th century to early 18th century house located in Church Square, Midsomer-Norton. This long, two-storey building is constructed from local limestone and sandstone rubble, topped with a pantile roof that features three brick chimneys and coped verges. The west front has approximately six bays, with three on the first floor that retain windows with moulded stone mullions, including one three-light and two two-light windows. The left bay has a two-storey catslide service projection, which is connected to a recent two-storey porch positioned to the right of centre. There are irregular smaller windows on the right lean-to extension at the south gable end, and at the rear, there is a small moulded window among later insertions. Inside, the house has a plain open fireplace and exposed oak ceiling beams.
