Milepost. Probably c.1820's for Bath Turnpike Trust. Square, inscribed, cast- iron plate set on rendered square upright. The repousse lettering (and pointing hand) read: "THE/BATH ROADS/(hand)/TO THE/GUILDHALL/BATH/M... (and) Fur/4 & 3".
