Description
No 7 and the attached office to the left is a house that has been converted into a shop, office, and residence. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed and squared red sandstone rubble with a slate roof featuring wide eaves and low brick stacks. The building has three storeys and three bays, with 12-pane sash windows on the first and ground floors and 9-pane sash windows on the second floor. The windows are adorned with stepped voussoirs and there is a sill band at the first floor level. The right side of the ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. The central door opening is framed by a semi-circular headed stone surround, featuring a fluted keystone, a six-panelled door, and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars.
