Description
Scotts is a house, now converted into flats, dating from the mid-18th century. The exterior is roughcast and scribed to resemble ashlar, featuring a plinth band and a moulded stone eaves cornice. The roof is covered with triple Roman tiles and is hipped to the right, supported by two 19th-century brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped frontage, with two storeys and a layout of four bays on one side and one bay that projects slightly under a hipped roof. There are end pilasters and 12-pane sash windows set in moulded stone architraves with keyed cambered heads. The right bay has paired 12-pane sash windows on each floor, separated by a plain wooden dividing mullion. The entrance is located in the fourth bay from the left, featuring an 8-panelled door within a moulded stone surround and topped by a stone slab hood supported by ornamental scroll brackets.
