Description
The building is a toll house, now used as a house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble and features a cinqpartite hipped roof covered with triple Roman tiles, along with a brick stack. The architectural style is Gothick. The building has two storeys and a three-window half-hexagonal frontage facing the road. It includes 6-light casements set in pointed-arch brick surrounds with brick labels, as well as a 2-light casement in a lunette-shaped brick surround with a brick label. The central entrance has a pointed-arch door opening with a brick label, and it contains a 20th-century door. To the left, there are a pair of square brick gate piers topped with flat moulded stone caps, leading to 20th-century wooden gates.
