15/24 Horse engine house about 50 metres north north west of Townsend Farmhouse (formerly listed as 'Roundhouse') 22.5.69

GV II

Horse engine house, now disused. Late C18-early C19. Local stone randon rubble, pyramid thatched roof with slates above eaves level on west front. Plan: roughly oval, entrance on north front. Lit by 3-bay loggia on west front, lower courses filled in. Beam for engine still in situ. In poor condition at time of survey (May 1984).
