11/95 Horse engine house 5m to north of Trewint Farmhouse

Bank barn and horse engine house now used as calveshouse with hay loft above. Barn circa 1800, horse engine house circa 1810. Rubblestone with scantle slate roof with half hips to barn and polygonal end to engine house. Barn with single storey to west, partly rendered front with central double plank doors. Lean-to on right hand hipped end and late C19 shippons on left hand hipped end. To rear, 1½ storey horse engine house, positioned to left of centre. Polygonal end with rectangular slits in canted walls. Wide door on north elevation with opening to hay loft above. Doveholes below eaves. Pegged collar rafter roof with kingpost truss in horse engine house. Central pier removed.
