Description

Detached house, dating to around 1800. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof, featuring coped gables and rendered brick chimney stacks. The house follows a T-shaped plan, and its south-facing elevation comprises two storeys with attics, arranged over seven bays. The windows are sash windows with 12 panes, set within architraves. A doorway with a part-glazed door, itself within an architrave, is located between bays 5 and 6, and is topped by a flat moulded and dentilled hood. The east gable has two matching bays, and incorporates a pair of oval windows in the attic. A later 19th-century single-bay extension was added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected. Approximately 5 metres to the east of the house stands a gateway with three-panelled cast-iron gatepiers, each featuring knob finials, and a pair of gates. The gates have spearheads at the top and middle rails, complemented by a latching pedestrian gate to the south. These elements contribute to the overall setting of the house.
