Description
No 14 is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ham stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and the front elevation is rendered and colourwashed. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features stepped coped gables, with brick chimney stacks at each end. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It has rusticated ashlar quoins and 16-pane sash windows set in plain surrounds. The lower bay 2 contains a six-panel door, which is now part-glazed, located in a panelled recess. The gables are plain.
About 6 metres north of the house, there is a low ashlar boundary wall that runs across the entire frontage. On top of this wall are wrought-iron railings approximately 1.2 metres high, featuring spearpoint tops with scroll barbs. Opposite the doorway, there is a pair of matching gates, with supporting iron posts that have urn finials.
