Description
Clematis Cottage and Corner Cottage are two cottages from the 18th century, with Clematis Cottage specifically dated 1755 by an inscription on its doorcase. They are constructed from coursed and squared rubble and feature triple Roman and pantile roofs with coped verges and brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and have a symmetrical facade with two sets of two bays. On the left side, there are two-light chamfered stone mullioned windows, with wrought iron quadrants on the first floor. On the right side, there are single light windows in hollow moulded stone surrounds, as well as two-light hollow moulded stone mullioned windows. The central door opening to Clematis Cottage is framed by a dressed stone surround and has a ribbed door. There is also a door opening to Corner Cottage located in the right return, which is set in a pent roofed outshut and features a plank door.
