Description

A pair of stone cottages dating to the early 19th century, situated in Pilton. The cottages are constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a double Roman tile roof, finished with coped verges, and have end brick stacks. They are arranged as a 2-bay and 3-bay composition. The left-hand two bays have 2-light and 3-light casement windows, with a single light casement to the ground floor; all have painted lintols. The right-hand three bays feature 12-pane and 16-pane sash windows set in dressed stone surrounds. There are two door openings. One has a plank door with a rough-hewn lintol, and the other a 6-panelled door within a dressed stone surround. Single-storey outshuts flank the main cottages, with a casement window on the left and a sash window with glazing bars on the right. The cottages are listed primarily for their group value.
