Description
The Phippin family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 6 meters south of the nave of the Church of St John the Baptist. It dates back to 1758, as indicated by the earliest inscription found on the east end. The tomb is made of dressed stone and features a moulded plinth. It has an oblong shape with shallow semi-circular headed niches on the north, south, east, and west sides, each with engraved inscriptions. The monument is topped with a slab that has a cavetto moulded edge around its outer perimeter.
