Description

St Mary’s Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with alterations in the 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble, with a triple Roman tile roof and a coped verge on the right-hand side. Two brick ridge stacks are present. The cottage is single-storied with an attic; it has two bays. On the ground floor to the left are two two-light metal casement windows. A flat-roofed dormer is centrally positioned with a two-light casement window. A plank door is located to the right. On the right return are two three-light stone mullioned windows with ovolo moulding and stopped labels. The interior likely retains an early roof structure.
