Description

The Crown Inn is an inn that likely has a core dating from the 17th century, with exterior features from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and has a triple Roman tile roof with coped verges. The building has three brick ridge stacks, with the one on the left return resting on a projecting rubble base. It is two storeys high and features three bays, with 4, 12, and 16-pane sash windows set in moulded stone architraves. The left bay has paired windows with a stone dividing mullion, and there are relieving arches over the ground floor openings. To the left, there are two door openings with painted stone surrounds, consisting of paired half-glazed doors, while to the right is a plank door. A wrought iron bracket to the right of the first floor holds a painted sign.
