GV II

House. C16 or earlier origins, now mostly C18 and C20. Local stone rubble with lime rendering, thatched roof hipped to East and coped to West; end and intermediate brick chimney stacks. Single storey with attic 6-bays. Bays 4, 5 and 6 have old casement windows with rectangular leaded panes, 2 and 3 lights, elsewhere C20 casements with small panes, that to bay 1 being 4-light with exposed timber lintel over; window above set into thatch in bays 1 to 4. External doorway to bay 3 under timber porch; another stable door between bays 5 and 6. Interior said to have 3 room cross passage plan; fireplace in central room has depressed 4 centre arch with ogee step hollow moulding, ceiling here framed in 6 panels. One roof truss jointed cruck with parts of 2 windbraces. Important to the setting the boundary walls 1.25 metres high in rubble stone, starting from corners of house and returning to form South boundary. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, 1976).
