Description

Fir Tree Cottage is a cottage with origins dating back to the 18th century, though it has been somewhat modified. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features exposed timber lintels. The roof is thatched and hipped at the east end, while the chimney stack has a stone base and a brick top. The cottage is single storey with an attic and consists of four bays. It has 20th-century two-light casement windows, with the upper windows set into the thatch over the second and fourth bays. The entrance door, which is half glazed, is located in the third bay and is sheltered by a timber and tile porch hood. The interior has not been seen.
