Description
No 71 South Street is a cottage, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features a gabled roof made of Bridgwater patent interlocking clay tiles, with brick and stone chimney stacks at either end. The cottage has two storeys and three bays. The windows are casements with leaded lights; the upper section has an early pattern of two lights with iron framed opening lights, while the lower section has a later pattern of three lights in the outer bays. The central entrance consists of a boarded door with a glazed panel set in a lined recess, and all openings have exposed timber lintels. The interior has not been seen.
