Description

No 3, Cornforth Hill is a cottage that dates from the 18th century, or possibly the 17th century. It is constructed of uncoursed rubble and features modern cement pantiles on the roof, along with brick chimneys.

The cottage faces south and has two storeys with two narrow bays. The openings are irregularly positioned, and the windows, which are all approximately square, vary slightly in size. Each window is set beneath timber lintels and has two-over-two sashes. The front door is roughly central and is located beneath a long timber lintel that is shared with an adjoining window to the east. The cottage also has end stacks that are likely shared with the adjoining properties.
