Description
This is a cottage located at 72 South Street, possibly dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features a concrete double Roman tile roof, which likely replaced the original thatch. The building has two storeys and two bays with irregular window arrangements.
On the upper level, there are two three-light chamfered timber-framed windows with leaded glass, where the centre lights open and have iron framing. Below, there is a four-light window in the second bay that matches the upper windows, along with a modern two-light casement window in the first bay that is designed to match. The entrance features a wide boarded door set in a shallow timber-lined recess between the windows, with exposed timber lintels above all openings. The interior has not been seen.
