Description

This is an early 19th-century limekiln located on the south side of Wiveliscombe Road in Milverton. It is constructed from red sandstone random rubble and follows a standard plan. The limekiln is built into the hillside, and at the time of the survey in May 1983, the parapet was obscured by ivy. It features splayed abutments and three relieving arches that decrease in size. There is a two-light opening at the first floor level and two single-light openings below at ground floor level.
